Provisioning Technician 2 is a mid level position within the Provisioning organization. This is a customer facing position that requires ability to effectively handle customer interactions and ability to be customer centric. This role is responsible for the implementation and activation of CenturyLink services. Qualified candidates must have a good understanding of various VOIP and network products and services.
Major Responsibilities of the Position:
Perform as a team player with ability to think creatively, identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to leadership
Assist in the successful customer activation of services provided
Assist with the completion of equipment configuration
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
Work well with others to achieve common goals and to foster a cooperative climate
Complete designated amount of work in a specified timeframe with a high degree of quality
Coordinates with other departments and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of service to customers
Provide resolution of service issues through troubleshooting and escalating
Provide timely escalation of issues to leadership and other responsible parties
Perform other duties and assist where needed as identified by leadership
Provides informal training to peers
May work with little supervision
Primarily performs work duties sitting, or standing at a workstation utilizing a computer for extended periods of time
Training Required in Title:
- On-the-Job Training
Associates degree, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
5-7 years experience in Telecommunications, or equivalent areas.
Have ability to adapt in a fast pace and changing environment.
Have strong problem solving skills, and ability to Troubleshoot issues preventing the delivery of services.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a production environment.
Have ability to work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime and holidays.
Have ability to adjust priorities or schedules to meet changing or work related demands.
Have ability to efficiently and accurately work with multiple types of information.
Have ability to be primary central point of contact for orders within the service delivery organization.
Have ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Have ability to be very detail oriented.
Understanding of WAN and LAN Topologies
Understanding and ability to complete Circuit Designs
Experience working in an Enterprise Call Que environment
Experience with implementation of Circuits: DS1, DS3, Optical and Ethernet
Experience with Network Hardware including Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points
Experience working with Internet and Private Network Solutions
Experience working with VOIP Equipment or Solutions
Experience with Access Service Request to Local Exchange Carriers
Experience working on complex assignments within the Network Systems installation and/or maintenance activities
Experience configuring CPE Routers and Switches
Experience Troubleshooting Network Issues
CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent work experience desired
