Sr Project Manager provides overall support and coordination for multiple projects and task orders. Acts as central point of contact with customer. Responsible for performance to include management, contract collaboration, project/task order implementation and coordination of resources. Has broad and deep knowledge of IT industry and business administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide oversight, coordination, and implementation of project requirements to include respond to Task Orders
Direct coordination with the customer is an essential element to the success of the program
Coordinate network and service implementation activities
Provide comprehensive program reviews to internal and external customers
Understand Government contracting requirements (FAR) and ensure contract deliverable line items are met
Assesses and mitigate operational risks and issues and escalate to upper management
Develop customer required methodologies, procedures and systems to produce reports to measure program success and direction
Ensure documented guidelines and operating procedures for quality assurance/control are followed
Provide recommendations to customer to improve operations
Continually monitor quality of products and services provided for purposes of identifying and implementing performance improvements
Ensure resources to perform task orders are identified with clearly defined roles and deployed on schedule
Ability to manage 500+ active telecommunications services and more 50 simultaneous active orders simultaneously
Coordinate and facilitate weekly and impromptu customer meetings, presentations, and reporting
Customer coordination of invoice reviewing and billing adjustments
Provide management and coordination of Change Management and Emergency Maintenance activities
Coordination of Test and Acceptance scheduling with customers.
Implement life-cycle management of the following technologies: Metro and Long Haul Ethernet, MPLS, VPLS, Public and Private Internet, Domestic Private Line, International Private Line, Optical Wavelength Services, SIP Trunking, PSTN, Managed Services
Utilization of the following systems: ASPEN, Core, Coastal, LIMS, Casper, Eflow, Networx, SDP, PPricer, Orion, QPROV, QVO, DocuSign, TIRKS, SFA, BOSS, Oscar, SOM, IOF
Project Management Institution (PMI) standardization understanding
Ability to manage daily tasks and customer expectations across an cross-matrixed team with various skill-sets that includes Pre and Post Sales Engineering, Account Consultants, Billing Analysts, Provisioning, Carrier Management, Contracts, Legal, Pricing & Offer Management, Implementation, Test and Activation, Network Operations Center, Change Management, and Sales
General understanding of FCC Telecommunication’s regulations in ILEC, RBOC, CLEC in IXC and LATA environments
Telecommunications provisioning knowledge
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
Minimum 12 years of general experience to include 6 years specialized within telecommunications
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification preferred
US Citizenship required
Must be willing to be subject of Government Security Investigation(s) and willing to access classified information if required.
Must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information (applicants selected will be subject to a government security re-investigation)
