ANALYST II – Payroll Time Team

Job Functions:

  • Provide assistance and support of the payroll activities within the Payroll department

  • Compile and review weekly reports for daily time. Review time for reasonableness and accuracy for payroll processing for an assigned subset of the company

  • Investigate daily time errors for bi-weekly payroll process

  • Respond to employee questions and concerns related to time entry and entitlement time

  • Provide assistance to employees through communication resources

  • Process payroll adjustments as necessary

  • Consult with Labor negotiators as needed to review changes to contracts and provide information to them as needed

  • Compile and test new information for new codes and contracts

  • Investigate prior period payments for bi-weekly payroll process

  • Understand and be able to execute Time Transfer and Evaluation

  • Research and resolve time transfer errors

  • Identify, analyze and help develop process improvements

  • Review, revise and document methods and procedures as needed

  • Assist other areas of payroll in special projects and implementations as needed

  • Be knowledgeable and capable of calculating Prevailing Wage

  • Other functions as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education

  • 4 – 5 years of related work experience

  • Working knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures or the equivalent in training and experience

  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred

  • Experience working with large database software programs performing data entry or processing standardized forms

  • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software (i.e., Microsoft Work, Microsoft Excel)

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel such as: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and complex equations

  • Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
