Access Management at CenturyLink is a forward-looking, proactive business domain that maintains control and manages intrinsic risk associated with a multi-billion-dollar annual Network Expense (NetEx) liability. At a high level the primary goal of the Access Management organization is to maintain an efficient network that enables revenue while maximizing profit margin and cash flow. The Access Management (AMO) team utilizes an array of techniques to deliver on this goal.
The Netex Disputes arm of AMO is responsible for auditing and scrutinizing vendor invoicing on telecommunications services delivered to Centurylink. Given the billions of dollars vendors bill Centurylink for said services, it is critical for this disputes team to maintain oversight on the billing and identify defects or anomalies as promptly as possible in the form of disputes. The millions of dollars the disputes team preserve or recover constitute a sizeable portion of the netex savings goal established by the Network Planning and Access Management (NPAM) and Finance leadership teams.
The Netex Audit manager position reports to the Director, Planning in the Disputes team. This manager will lead a team of planners and contractors whose primary focus is on the continued auditing of vendor facility billing and identifying high-quality disputes. This is an important and challenging role for the business; the expectation is that the manager and his or her planners are constantly focused on improving awareness of what is in the netex base and deepening their audit coverage. The netex audit manager and team are also responsible for looking for opportunities to support planned cost initiatives and provide updates to those resources who administer automated queries.
The position requires very strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, a high comfort level with dynamically shifting priorities, experience leading telecommunication professionals in the off-net access domain, and a curiosity and willingness to not only solve business problems but identify new business opportunities to increase netex savings and ultimately cash flow. This position includes regular communication and interaction with multiple layers of CenturyLink NPAM and finance leadership up to and including the Senior Vice President layer.
