Job Summary

Persons employed in this position are primarily responsible for Inventory Management, Material Forecasting and Inventory Control functions, concentrating on global partners, which include, but are not limited to, Work Order Processing, and some logistics operations.

Job Description

Overall management of Orders from order entry to shipment delivery and return for global shipments

Maintain inventory levels for stock, VMI, and min/max on a global basis

Provide feedback to appropriate departments on meeting customer requirements

Quote lead times for equipment retrieval or procurement for requested service times

Effectively manage usage levels to meet customer orders and minimize company risk

Work with other departments to ensure proper processes

Data entry into proper systems for shipments and inventory

Manage relationship with third party vendors and 3PL providers globally

Develop, improve, and monitor reporting processes

Make recommendations to management regarding improvements in the control processes to better enable the company to be efficient, cut costs and improve cycles to customers

Follow up on open orders and issues that have not been resolved

Monthly reporting metrics

Qualifications

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and solve issues

Strong computer skills including Excel, and Microsoft Windows programs

Capable of multitasking between multiple order notifications and vendors

Ability to maintain accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Desired skills:

Strong Customer Service skills

Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

Approachable demeanor with professional, relationship-building skills

Flexible schedule – global time differences

Education or Equivalent Experience:

5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Operations

Service Delivery Experience preferred

Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
