CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study. Interns within the Product Management department will be challenged to apply their knowledge gained in the classroom to real world problems. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience working on real world Innovation Initiatives for a Fortune 500 company. This position will allow students to utilize their talents and abilities to innovate on active projects at CenturyLink. On the Client Engagement Management Team Interns will focus on development related to consultative selling including the tools, techniques & skills required. The ideal candidate will be paired with a Client Engagement Manager as well as support the client engagement team with various activities. They will have the opportunity to follow the selling journey with the C-suite as well as partner with their Client Engagement Manager as they consult, advise and solution with executives. The intern will also gain experience with executive presentation and deliverable creation, through thought leadership and market awareness. At the end of this internship the individual should have a good foundation of what consultative, executive level selling looks like and a familiarity with the various tools, techniques and skills required to be successful consulting at this level. By association the candidate will interact with various other core resource groups in CenturyLink and begin to understand how a Technology company functions and interacts with the other critical stakeholders
Assist with detailed corporate & executive level research. Competitive research. How to create compelling consultative agendas that yield business results.
Work with the Client Engagement Manger to develop high end consultative proposals demonstrating the linkage between our client’s business objectives and their technical requirements
Opportunity to choose from relevant topics and do research on an emerging market trend that is affecting and influencing how clients consume IT and the challenges they face on this journey

Ability to execute action items on time and effectively including research, content creation, account and opportunity planning, solution development and solution presentation. Ability to work in small groups with important and aggressive deadlines. Someone with the thirst, desire and eagerness to learn about all the things that go into complex strategic executive level selling.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
• Pursuit of Bachelors or Master’s degree; Business, Sales, Marketing with interest in Sales Management, Strategic Selling, Business Consulting, Consultative Selling, Project Management. General interest in technology.
• Must have a high level of professionalism in all activities as well as a high work ethic.
• Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Highly motivated, organized, reliable and detail oriented
• Capable of multi-tasking efficiently
• Quick learner and not afraid to work with new technology or interact with senior level leaders
• Professional attitude
• Currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University
• 3.0 or above cumulative GPA
• Classification: Senior or Master’s Level status by start of internship
