Job Summary

The Security Analyst will support Corporate Security’s Intelligence and International Risk Programs by monitoring and assessing global events that could impact the security of our facilities, employees, or operations around the world; managing the safety and security of our international business travelers; conducting due diligence research and investigations on individuals and organizations to identify potential security risks; and completing other security related duties as assigned.

Job Description

  • Monitor, assess and respond to events that could impact the security of CenturyLink facilities, employees, or operations worldwide, to include terrorist attacks, political instability, social unrest, and criminal activity.

  • Manage CenturyLink’s International Travel Security Program. Ensure the safety and security of thousands of international business travelers/year. Conduct travel threat assessments, security briefings, and traveler tracking/monitoring.

  • Develop country risk assessments to support ongoing and future business operations.

  • Conduct due diligence research and investigation on individuals and organizations using a variety of open source and third-party resources to identify potential security risks and maintain the integrity of CenturyLink’s supply chain.

  • Maintain liaison with counterparts in private industry and appropriate federal agencies (FBI, State Department, etc.) to stay abreast of best practices, trends, and current events.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., political science, international studies, history, criminal justice, intelligence analysis).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working security, crime, or intelligence analysis in a corporate security environment, law enforcement, or a government agency.

  • Knowledge of international security threats and trends.

  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze complex security related threats/information and develop appropriate assessments and recommendations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees during a crisis, including senior management.


  • Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., political science, international studies, history, criminal justice, intelligence analysis).

  • Experience managing a global travel security program.

  • Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
