This Supervisor for Engineering - Federal will be the lead for all LAB activities including but not limited to lab engineer tasking, lab schedule, work scope, plans, and reports. The position will be responsible for ensuring the accurate development of Detailed Test Plans, test execution and the development of Test Results. Review and test proposed or new IRM components. Aid in the creation of procedural or installation steps for new and existing equipment. Interface with subcontractor personnel required for testing or development of products and components.
Perform complex tasks, engineering, testing and installation for ISP and OSP projects with an emphasis on DC power systems and Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology.
Supervise and lead the evaluation of equipment and materials for assigned projects and recommend network improvements or design changes when identified as necessary.
Train the Field Engineering (FE) team in all physical aspects of the FE position as it pertains to equipment/component knowledge and installation.
Collaborate with the Field Engineering Supervisors to build and maintain a training program.
Provide functional guidance, supervision, technical support, training, and quality assurance/control as required or assigned.
Create and review technical documentation, test plans and lab reports as required or assigned.
Collaborate, edit and maintain all FE and PWD LAB procedures, checklists and drawings.
Provide Tier II support remotely as required. Replicate issues encountered in the field for technical analysis.
Maintain the PWD warehouse with regards to upkeep and maintenance, material movement, inventory of parts and spares and assignment status.
Engage with the customer and subcontractors to facilitate upgrade projects and augments to the network.
Act as the PWD LAB Team lead for meetings, reporting, warehouse processes and procedures.
Create or accept work requests, assign lab engineers, perform work, generate the proper documentation.
Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or documentation related to the network
Perform other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree and five years experience or Bachelor’s degree and two years experience preferred. Degrees with technical majors preferred. Experience within CTL Government Services preferred.
Experience with implementing and sustaining wide area networks is required to include installation, troubleshooting, testing and documentation with an emphasis on DC power and Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology.
Experience with hardware engineering is preferred.
Applicable BICSI and other applicable industry certifications highly desired.
Knowledge of physical, operational, and communication security processes and procedures is required.
Experience with COMSEC procedures and handling COMSEC preferred.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
At least 10% travel will be required.
