Job Summary

The Lead Security Professional must have advanced practical experience in managing all phases of security integration to assist the Security Manager and Director with managing the personnel, physical, information, and information systems (IS) security requirements for DoD, SCI and SAP activities as applicable to the program supported. They will write all standard operating procedures, maintain fixed facility checklists (FFCs), and author systems security plans in accordance with ICDs, DCIDs, and NISPOM requirements. They will serve as a liaison to government program security officers (PSO), information systems security counterparts, and CenturyLink internal and external clients. Conduct initial and recurring training, prepare and process access requests, conduct indoctrinations and debriefings, and investigate and report security violations. Conduct self-inspections, maintain associated security paperwork and media control records, conduct virus scanning and computer security briefings, and provide data containment support, including coordinating clean-up efforts and reporting requirements.

Job Description

  • Working with the Director of Industrial Security and the Program Security and Information Security Managers will oversee the day to day coordination of schedules, reports and briefings as required to maintain a complex Industrial Security program with responsibility for collateral to SCI

  • Must be adept in areas of Physical, Personnel, Facility and OPSEC for both DoD and SCI programs in order to establish a superior security program that will ensure the protection of classified information

  • Will maintain facility accreditation packages for DoD closed area and SCI areas. Will work with Government Services Facility Security personnel to ensure that modifications or repairs to the secure space are made in a timely manner

  • Will investigate and write reports of incidents of security infractions or violations to the Director of Government Security, the Program Manager, Security Manager and the customer. Will follow through on the development for areas of improvement of the security program to prevent future incidents or violations

  • Working with the Program Team, will conduct security prescreen interviews with all prospective employees being considered for program access and work with the Personnel Security Manager to obtain security packages for submittal to the government. Will maintain a data base of program cleared personnel and ensure proper badging and access control

  • Will work closely with the Program Manager to ensure all security policies and procedures are documented and all briefed employees are properly trained on program classification policies. Will conduct initial security briefings, rebriefings and debriefings

  • Must be able to interpret government program classification guides and apply them to the program which includes education to the program team

  • Must have knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery to work with the BC Professional to create and implement BC plans to ensure continuity of operations during emergency situations

  • Must be knowledgeable in the area of document accountability and develop a document control system for the creation / dissemination / dispatch / receipt and destruction of classified information

  • Must have working knowledge of computer security to work with Government Security’s IT and ISSO in the development of a classified AIS and the documentation that is required to obtain ATO

Qualifications

  • This is a senior security position. Minimum of 10 and preferably 15 or more years in a senior leadership role supporting classified programs from the collateral to the SCI levels

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of all resource material that describes the policies and procedures for the protection of classified information and the ability to overlay those policies to develop a strong security program using such material as DCID’s, NISPOM, ICD’s, and specific program related guidance provided in accordance to the contract

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Current TS/SSBI.

  • CI Polygraph.
