Job Summary

The Sr Lead Project Manager will oversee and manage the implementation and operational support of Next Generation 911, MPLS, SD-WAN, managed networks, security, voice and contact center solutions. Candidate must have a strong telecom background and a successful history of leading cross-functional teams. Experience in managing projects to comply with state, federal, and commercial contracts is a must.

Job Description

  • Leads cross-functional teams that include Sales, Engineering, Service Assurance, NOC, Product Management, and Billing teams to plan, implement, and support telecom solutions and/or professional services

  • Works with Sales and Engineering teams to gather and validate customer requirements as needed

  • Develops project proposals and plans to comply with contract and RFP commitments; this includes determining schedules, funding, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, risk management plans, and allotment of available resources to various phases within projects

  • Presents comprehensive project management plans to clients and manages their expectations

  • Oversees monthly and quarterly client service performance meetings; this includes generating service delivery, service assurance, and process assessment and improvement reports

  • Ensures SLAs are met per the contract

  • Ensures systems, processes, and methodologies are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of service delivery and service assurance

  • Identifies areas for improvement driven by data and works with internal teams to implement fixes with urgency


  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree

  • US Citizenship preferred

  • 7 to 10 years of Program and/or Project Management experience in the telecommunications industry

  • Extensive experience in the deployment of MPLS, voice and NG911 solutions

  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and implementing multiple strategic, complex projects with successful results

  • Manage scope, schedule, resources and budget simultaneously

  • Experience in defining and documenting processes and driving for continuous improvement using measurement/metrics data

  • PMP Certification desired

  • ITIL Certification desired

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Word
