Job Summary

The National Channel Manager (NCM) is a dedicated resource to our strategic partners, a trusted advisor and valued business consultant. The NCM governs the overall relationship between the strategic partner and CenturyLink, provides general administrative oversight, acts as an advocate of CenturyLink within the strategic partner ecosystem, and acts as an advocate of the partner within CenturyLink. S/he establishes deep relationships with key strategic partner stakeholders, and in collaboration with the local channel team(s) provides and manages to jointly developed business objectives and action plans, engages in strategic sales opportunities, and ultimately drives profitable revenue growth for both CenturyLink and our partner(s).

Job Description

  • Create, develop and manage joint business plans with assigned strategic partner

  • Perform quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with assigned strategic partners

  • Support and coordinate CenturyLink’s involvement, assets and people in our Strategic partner’s marketing events, including attending and speaking at events

  • Develop national/regional market coverage plans and initiatives

  • Develop onboarding programs and strategies

  • Develop region level engagement strategies with indirect field Channel Directors

  • SME to strategic partners at all levels of externally-facing CenturyLink ecosystem

  • Forecast monthly sales accurately and drive closure of specific opportunities to meet EOM targets


  • 3+ years of related experience

  • Proven success of building strong relationships and partnerships with large master agents

  • Advanced understanding of telecommunications products and network capabilities

  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of company financial measures, the telecom industry, and indirect sales model

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of company financial measurements, telecommunications industry, and indirect sales model

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
