Job Description

  • Responsible for managing a defined set of Receivable portfolios – Outside Plant Damage claims, with a focus on maximizing the cash recovery and resolution of invoice queries and disputes.

  • Improve the organization’s aging Accounts Receivable profile thru focused and consistently applied recovery practices

  • Identify collections priorities and status of recovery efforts at the portfolio and account level

  • Manage vendor partners which includes ensuring adherence to SLA’s, recovery goals, and reviewing monthly operational results

  • Work closely with field technicians and management to achieve goals

  • Review and present results to management and field timely and accurately

  • Review, enhance and follow internal/external quality assurance to ensure compliance with internal policies as well as all relevant state/federal laws

  • Lead, coach and counsel Analyst I and 2 level including but not limited to evaluating claims and assigning them to the right person/entities for resolution and following up to insure proper assessment was done

  • Accountable for meeting damage/recovery targets

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in chasing historical debt and resolving problem debt in a timely manner

  • Be able to demonstrate experience of indirectly managing resources from different areas of the business to achieve a common objective, with no direct management responsibility for those people

  • Proven ability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and layers

  • Proven track record of successfully working with insurance, insurance adjusters, and court representatives

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to deal with multiple demands on time and resource

  • Be able to create and utilize reporting and data to develop strategies and plans for effectively managing claim portfolio

  • Be able to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and purpose solutions for implementation

  • Fully proficient in the Microsoft Suites (Excel, Power Point, Word and Access)

  • BS Degree in Finance, Business or related field

  • Five years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Damage Claim Recovery in the Telecom industry

  • Proficient with the utilizations of collections software including Salesforce

Solid experience in Telecom and Network
