Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and experienced Business Analyst / Scrum Master to manage a diverse set of initiatives. The Business Analyst will work closely with US and Bangalore Product Owners, SMEs, analysts, architects, other Business Analysts / Scrum Masters, engineers and developers to drive initiatives that maximize the rapid delivery of high quality automations and solutions that provide cost savings to the business.

  • Coordinate initiatives and drive teams to meet commitments based on Sprint or Plan

  • Pragmatically develop and implement processes and practices that enable teams to evolve to leaner thinking and cultivate the value of continuous improvement

  • Assist organization to realize maximum results and value on investments by leveraging agile frameworks, methods and practices

Job Description

  • Lead by example and servant leadership to proactively guide teams in establishing and following effective processes to manage planning, development and deployment

  • Participate in end-user testing, be able to demonstrate application features, and understand business processes, utilize testing applications and tools

  • Be available when the team requires, gather requirements, gain acceptance from both Development and Product Owner on the priority of requested features.

  • Proactive monitoring of all feature development within the team and delivery of new features

  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution

  • Establish a good trust based working relationship with the team.

  • Ensure that all the Agile processes / Sprint ceremonies and formalities are carried out by the team and help the team to be productive Assist with, and often lead, internal and external communication, improving transparency, and sharing of information

  • Collaborate and proactively drive feature prioritization planning and backlog grooming with business stakeholders

  • Write user stories and order product backlog items

  • Foresee risks and dependencies and manage them proactively

  • Analyze risk and report problems and delays in meeting commitments or violation of working agreements

  • Coach and mentor agile practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience and a proven understanding with iterative development, incremental software delivery, and the “why” behind it

  • Proven ability to work with business leaders and team quickly to become subject matter expert

  • Demonstrated knowledge with the principles behind emergent requirements

  • Excellent understanding of agile metrics (e.g. how to build a burn-down, track velocity/cycle time, backlog tracking, and task definition)

  • Ability to handle a number of simultaneous tasks, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive issues to completion

  • Expertise in making continuous improvement changes, especially as it relates to software development

  • Exceptional facilitation skills; must be able to lead and demonstrate value add principles with transparency (e.g. desire to bring disclosure and grow trust)

  • Demonstrate good Use Case / User Story writing.

  • Experience using agile life cycle management tools such as Atlassian JIRA or similar

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration at all levels
