Job Summary

The Sr Lead Sales Engineer sells services and retains revenue by providing technical customer support to assigned accounts. The Sr Lead Sales Engineer interacts with customers to execute the technical aspects of the sales strategy, develop appropriate solutions and build technical relationships. The Sr Lead SE takes ambiguous customer needs and develops them into specific, deliverable requirements and solutions to help qualify and quantify opportunities. You will also resolve technical issues during sales engagement, help clients define specifications, develop the solution, and provide technology presentations to both technical and senior management level audiences.

Job Description

  • Build pursuit plans for highly complex and/or custom opportunities, manage a cross-functional pursuit team, and perform specific tasks as appropriate.

  • Strategic Selling Expert at region level, including proactive contact and relationship building with targeted customer contacts.

  • Regional Area Subject Matter Expert on key technologies, industries, and business applications.

  • Maintain expert level knowledge of multiple Vertical Industries and associated vertical and horizontal business applications.

  • Consult with customers about their business application & business operation challenges and apply best practice solutions around those

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineer, Network Engineering, Managed Hosting Support engineer (managed hosting, Cloud, virtualization), or related engineering role

  • Strong understanding of the sales process

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)

  • Experience performing needs assessments and making recommendations based on the discovered needs

  • Experience documenting solution components in a timely manner while ensuring an acceptable level of detail, data integrity and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in engineering, networking or related field

  • 2+ years’ experience in design of distributed, high availability server-based network computing infrastructures.
