Position Summary:

The Territory Support Manager or TSM is the operational lead for a sales team, ensuring the sales team is ably supported by a world class operational support function and driving the deployment and adoption of best practices within that sales team.

Job Description

Purpose of Position:

The TSM is an integral part of the organisation, delivering operational excellence in support of a designated sales team. Through the role, and in coordination with the Regional Sales Director, the TSM will be responsible for completing multiple operational activities, ensuring these are completed in a consistent manner. Also, the TSM will contribute to driving the continual improvement of operational efficiency within the overall organisation, which is likely to include identifying, recommending and implementing productivity improvement opportunities. In addition, the TSM may be required to support the sales force within the relevant New Business or Existing Accounts Sales Teams by managing Business As Usual (BAU)/smaller sales requirements and facilitating in the ‘behind the scenes’ processes, enabling the sales force to focus on the larger ticketed deals with an end goal of achieving their sales quota and customer retention targets. As part of this function, the TSM is likely to act as a secondary point of contact for select clients and action urgent requests accordingly.

Essential Duties:

  • Be the primary operational support function aligned to a sales team

  • Actively support the Regional Sales Director in forecast reviews, ensuring system/process compliance is maintained by the sales force

  • Ensuring a streamlined order submission process is maintained, via close collaboration with the sales force and multiple internal departments

  • Responsible for troubleshooting in the order process, to ensure that issues are swiftly resolved

  • Support the quote process, in particular ensuring all aspects of the end to end process of an opportunity have the correct contractual, pricing, legal wording, customer documentation etc in place prior and after submission to be booked.

  • Manage the end to end sales process of smaller valued deals on behalf of the field sales team, including acting as a secondary point of contact/’Go To’ point of contact for the customer/internal wider team on behalf of the FSE.

  • Working with the FSE/Client Solutions Partner (CSP) to manage/support customers through their renewal process.

  • Handle any customer’s sales related issues in coordination with the sales team.

  • Assist with training new/existing FSE to get up to speed with aspects of the internal process, systems, changes etc


Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills is a must

  • Confidence to work independently and within a team

  • Working knowledge of MS DT applications including Word and Excel

  • Good knowledge of SFDC

  • Self-Starter, who is results oriented, entrepreneurial, dynamic and resourceful

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • High level knowledge of IT Services/Solutions

  • Prior experience of working within a world class operational function

  • Masters in a Business or a numerate discipline
